Downloads for the Nightshade astronomy simulator.

As a convenience for Intel/OSX based Macs, Nightshade can be installed using Macports, although the version may lag behind the current release.

1. Install Macports from http://www.macports.org/install.php.
2. Open a command prompt.
3. Type the following: sudo port install nightshade
4. You will be prompted for the administrator's password.
5. Depending on your system, several dependencies may need to be installed prior to Nightshade, please be patient while installation proceeds.

nightshade-demo.zip A demo script for all platforms that shows off some of the features. Unzip into your Nightshade data/scripts directory and then hit CTRL-D from within Nightshade to run. Be sure that you have set your default longitude to match your timezone first, however. Note that this demo is for non-commercial use only, see the license information included.
